Are you scared to sew zippers? It’s okay if you are, they used to really intimidate me too, until I actually tried! I promise you this, the thought of sewing zippers is so much harder than sewing them!!
I’ve added a NEW beginner Sewing Tutorial on YouTube which shows you, step by step how to make your own change pad cover with a zipper! You could also use this tutorial to practice your zipper skills or adjust the size for a zipper bag/pouch.
Supplies Needed to Sew Your Own Change Pad with Zipper
The supplies listed are based on a change pad that measures 17 x 34”
- Zipper 17” or bigger (it can be cut)
- Cotton or flannel fabric (no stretch) 19 x 36” cut pieces. This is 2 inches bigger on the length and width from the change pad. You would be able to cut both prices from a full yard of fabric with a width of 40″.
- Thread
- Scissors
- Iron
- Sewing machine
