Fabric Choices That Actually Work
The So Bright Scarf uses two different types of fabric for the best results: a woven cotton front and a cuddle minky backing. Through years of testing, we’ve found that this combination provides the perfect balance of structure, comfort, and performance. The cotton helps reduce wind blowing through the scarf, while the cuddle minky adds warmth and softness.
Alternative fabrics can be used if desired. Fleece may be substituted for minky, or smooth minky can be used instead of cuddle minky. Lighter wool or flannel fabrics may also be used for the front, though it is recommended to choose a no-stretch fabric for best results. Interfacing is optional but recommended if using thinner cotton or fabric with stretch. All our favourite fabrics and sources are found in the digital download, so you don’t have to make any decisions if you don’t want to!
